MyLife
Nominated for South Africa ’Woman of the Year’ 2010, finalist in the "Woman of the Year" 2007, runner up in the Fairlady/Clarins Most Dynamisante Woman 2002, Angel Heart of Africa Award 2005, the Cape TIMES/VNA Waterfront Woman of Worth 2001 and recognised at the Laureus Sports for Good Awards for her pioneering work, Linzi Thomas founder of the MylifE Foundation is considered an expert in her field, which has seen 12 years of understanding the dynamics that drive children to the streets, the children themselves and how to prevent and divert more children from living a life in "survival" mode with no love and care.

Homelessness, poverty, drug addiction, gangsterism, HIV/Aids, lack of education and proper parenting, and a long list of severe abuses and neglect have placed South Africa’s future generation at grave risk. Adding to the situation, we have a staggering number of children and youth becoming orphans each and every day. The ‘cycle of self destruction’ these yong people find themselves in, unless broken, will, according to the United Nations, lead to a 433% increase in the number of children living on the World’s streets in the next 10 years.

After years of success, MylifE decided to expand their activities by bringing in four industrial designers to add more structure to MylifE strategy in making the organisation sustainable and reaching more street children. Their strategy is a four stage process that will not only integrate youth back into society, but will give them basic skills to make them self sustainable. Once they have gone through this process and generating their own income, they will be encouraged to plough back a portion of earnings in an effort to assist with MylifE objectives. Our future is our Ubuntu Villages and if you would like to know more or participate in creating a solution to a massive challenge- please contact us.

As our chosen Charity The RHINO TOUR & MORE will be supporting and publicising MyLife's work with seriously disadvantaged children.

Theirry

Thierry is one of the world’s top yachting photographers, (if not the top) covering events like the Extreme 40 Series and the Americas Cup, to events for sailboats at the other end of the size scale, such as the recent Moth World Championships. Thierry is the ‘official photographer’ for the celebrated Round the Island Race, IOW, and there is no doubt his work is in hot demand.  The fabulous Extreme 40 images on our site are Thierry’s work, and we indebted to Thierry (many baguettes worth) for the fabulous presentation his work brings. We say Viva la France, and thank you Thierry, your work is just awesome!

Susan Fenton
Described as one of the UK’s top writers by the editor of Society Today magazine, Hom Paribag, Susan has been working with Simon Collyer for some time. Susan works in a variety of fields particularly the gift trade, and has attended meetings with us at government minister level. A trained journalist in an industry short of such skills, we prefer Susan’s professional approach in presenting our case honestly and with clarity than the ‘spin doctor’ type of ‘hyped-up’ approach.   If you want a top PR company to communicate your message we recommend Susan and F-Word every time.

Justice Org

The Justice Organisation was launched by Simon Collyer with aims promote fairness and fair play in society. We believe all actions or decisions should be considered for their fairness before being enacted.

The organisation’s first campaign, which is now gathering pace, is called Justice and Sight and concerns the rights of people taken into police custody for whatever reason. An estimated 60% of the population need glasses, and as things stand many of those arrested cannot properly read the documents handed to them during their detention, (such as the Police and Criminal Evidence Code-of-Conduct booklet,) and this can potentially lead to miscarriages of justice.

We want all police stations and other detention centres to offer the use of reading glasses as a matter of routine. The Justice Organisation is also campaigning to stop discrimination in the Housing rental market against unemployed people - the ‘No DSS’ frequently seen in advertisements for rented property.

A much larger initiative to assist the unemployed is being worked on, and will be launched this year.

My time in Africa and coming from parents who have devoted a great deal of time to good works, showed me you don’t need a million in the bank to be happy. Helping others is something we should all do. The greatest cure for melancholy and depression is lots of exercise, and finding causes to get involved in that assist others. In our world where depression and an anxiety is a major problem for many people, becoming self-focused is all too easy. Busy people can always find more time, and I firmly believe what you give out in life eventually comes back to you.
